Noam Chomsky Quotes.

Noam is apparently one of the most intelligent people in the world! It shows!

Opher's World

What this world lacks is free thinkers who are prepared to stand up and be counted. Noam has an intellect that shines and a moral courage.

  1. Good quotes and good views. I’m a bit… how can I say… unsure of the racist fascist freedom of speech-part though. I mean, before the genocide in Rwanda the national radio fired up the people to take violent action against a minority. In three months almost a million people were murdered. Genocides can and probably will happen again, and those who really are to blame are the people promoting it before it happens. The freedom of each and every one of us ends where someone else’s freedom starts. Thanks!

    • Aak – that is always a moot point isn’t it? You’ve put your finger on it. There is a fine line between freedom of speech and hate talk. Can we have freedom of speech while banning hate crime? I think there is a balance. There is no room for incitement to hatred. I guess we have to settle for that compromise.

I'd like to hear from you...
