    • Hi. I’m really glad it cheered you up. We had great fun doing it. Back then we were looking at making fun and cheer in a grey boring world. It also showed that we were opposed to an establishment that we saw as greedy, selfish, exploitative and warmongering – a machine that was creating grey, cloned machines for an increasingly drab stereotyped life in servitude. We wanted fun, gaiety, empathy, compassion, friendship, meaning and pleasure without the destruction, ecodegradation, poverty, inequality and slavery.
Let’s have more fun in the world!! I hope you have another cheery day! All the best – Opher.

  1. You have been nominated for the Blogger Recognition Award by William Chasterson. This is an award created by Edge of Night recognizing bloggers from all over the world for their hard work. It is meant to recognize bloggers, give them encouragement, motivation to continue blogging, and basically just let them know that they are loved and appreciated. Being a blogger is not as easy as the silly name suggests and many times we get discouraged but this award serves as a reminder of why we started blogging in the first place.

    • Why thank you William. I am rather ambivalent about the whole business of awards but there is something really nice about being recognised by fellow bloggers and having your efforts noticed and appreciated. It feels as if it goes into a vacuum most of the time. The bottom line is that although we don’t do it for the acclaim we all do like the ‘likes’, comments and awards. They give you a boost when you are flagging. So thank you wholeheartedly for this recognition. I accept it in the manner in which it was given. Thank you.

  2. Where in the world does one go on here to get to your most recent post/ It’s Home, right? I have you set for digest on my blogs so I can get a week’s worth at once while I’m gone. Haven’t gotten any though so figured I’d best see what you were up to! I miss checking out your posts!

    • I think it’s blog at the side of the main menu block! I don’t go in that way so I’m not sure. But good to hear from you! Hope you are good. I’ve been missing your kind thoughts.

    • Why thank you Dave. I don’t know what I make of all these awards but I like the idea of fellow bloggers recognising that there is something in what we produce. Cheers Opher.

    • Great isn’t it? A throwback to the good old days of the sixties! – Welcome to my blog! I hope you find lots of things to enjoy and buy all my books! Welcome! Best wishes – Opher

  3. I am writing to let you know what a wonderful experience my friend’s princess undergone checking your web site. She picked up lots of issues, not to mention what it is like to have a wonderful teaching heart to get men and women really easily learn chosen grueling subject matter. You actually exceeded people’s expected results. Thank you for presenting the important, healthy, educational and in addition fun tips on that topic to Evelyn.

  4. We need the strange style you have at Gastradamus, please if you can, review my stories, we need wild people like you to get things rolling, please comment and I will pay it foward. My site has a lot of traffic at the moment and it could be excellent for your blog

    • I’m not so sure it is so much of a strange style – more a splurging of what I think, feel and create – as it comes to me – aimed at whatever inspires me at the time. It’s a bit scattergun and very idiosyncratic. I’m a writer – I write. Whatever comes into my head. There are no limits.
      I’ll check out your blog.

      • Thank you very much, am very interested to see what you think about my stories, please be honest, don’t sugar coat it, I want your honesty

    • I had a look. You seem to have just started up. Ghostbusters, Bill Murray and dog poop. Something on feminism and racism. Abraham Lincoln.
So what are you standing for?
You have a good style. I’d like to see more bite and personal invective. But that’s me. It’s not popular.
I would like to see controversy, passion and personal invective.
Trump, ISIS, Inequality, Racism, Clinton, Environmental catastrophe, Overpopulation, the religious right, Klu Klux Klan, Drugs, Gun laws. There seems a lot of issues to get your voice and talents involved with.

      • Please get your opinion out there on my page, we need people like you to comment more then ever. I feel like this is taking off. Would really appreciate your comments on more of my pieces. If you build it, they will come.

      • We are waiting for you at Gastradamus, your post about Abe Lincoln has created a big spark. We would love have your input on our other stories if you have the time, thank you and please stay in touch. Things are about to take off

  5. Hey, great picture! I admire the desire you showed then to brighten up the world and not conform to the petty conventions of the establishment (although strictly speaking, I think you may have been giving a lot of support to the paint industry).

  6. I think that everything posted was very logical.
However, what about this? what if you added a little information? I mean, I don’t
want to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added a headline that makes people want
more? I mean Opher's World | Follow my blog for
books, poems, photos, music, art, education, views… is kinda boring.
You ought to look at Yahoo’s home page and see how they create news headlines to get people to click.
You might try adding a video or a related pic or two to get readers
interested about what you’ve written. Just my opinion, it might
bring your posts a little livelier.

    • Quite the opposite I would think.
Blind acceptance of a creator God without a shred of evidence is a complete abdication of intelligence. No matter how brain-washed and indoctrinated an intelligent individual might be they should still display the ability to reason. Blind acceptance without evidence looks like stupidity to me.
Faith and intelligence do not mix well do they?
When I see some evidence I will apply my intelligence to reason it out. Accepting what is written in any dubious text from pre-medieval times shows a lack of application of intelligence in my book.
      I think you are confused.

I'd like to hear from you...
